Awesome Gift From Daddy

Bree got a special gift in the e-mail this week from her Daddy. He sent her a Build-A-Bear Workshop gift certificate with the message "Because your Daddy loves and misses you." Very sweet, very thoughtful! And I kept it a surprise for Bree until today. 

As expected, the hardest part was picking out which animal/character form she wanted to start with. I was wondering if she'd pick Smurfette, Hello Kitty or even Brittney (from Alvin & The Chipmunks). She ended up picking a teddy bear with purple stars on her paws, and some kind of glittery purple armband.  

This is where Bree kind of got what the "Build-A-Bear" part was all about. :) "Oh! I get to help fill it!" 

This was Bree's first experience with Build-A-Bear, and it was very sweet that you get to add a heart to the bear. They had her rub it over her heart to make sure the bear had love, they had her rub it over her forehead to give it "smarts," over her ears to help it listen, and then Bree made a wish on it. 

The heart was inserted into the bear and then they sewed up the back.

AND THEN Bree had to give it a bath. This was so cute. The "sprayers" forced air onto the table's bathing area.  And there were two little scrubbers that Bree used to give her bear a bath. 

Bree took this part VERY seriously. 

Bree was very thorough in washing her bear. 

She spent a fair amount of time at the bath station. :) 

Here is Bree with her new bear! Which has been named "Sweetie Pie." 

Bree was able to get an outfit for Sweetie Pie and we even got her her own bed. Seriously. Of all accessories that Bree could choose from, she needed a bed for her bear. Because Bree is ALL ABOUT naps and sleeping. (as I roll my eyes)

Bree had a fantastic time today and she loves her new Sweetie Pie.

We both think that her Daddy is THE BEST. :)
